Tricia Nicoll and Kate Mercer from Black Belt Advocacy are excited to announce a new programme, Advocating with and for Gloriously Ordinary Lives.
Join Tricia and Kate to explore Gloriously Ordinary Lives and how this can be an impactful tool in your advocacy kit.
Come prepared to reflect on what life looks like for people who draw on support from your organisation, or in your life, and on your role in helping create Gloriously Ordinary Lives.

Sessions will be online via Zoom.
Please make sure that you are able to join the call in a place where you can give your full attention - and have your camera on!
After our five sessions, you will:
Understand the concept of Gloriously Ordinary Lives
Be able to give examples of how the Five Tests work
Have some clear plans for how to move towards more Gloriously Ordinary Lives for the people who draw on support from your organisation, or in your own life
Sessions will be relaxed and hopefully fun! There will be a mix of whole group work and breakout rooms where you can chat in small groups. There will also be some work to do between sessions.

Meet your facilitators:
Kate Mercer
Kate has spent her adult life training and supporting advocates. She advocates with carers and families whose loved one is autistic or is in a mental health setting. She is fiercely proud to be an advocate and appreciates the difference good advocacy can make.
Tricia Nicoll
Tricia has worked in the world of health and social care for 30 years and is passionate about helping services and support work in ways that really do help people to get Gloriously Ordinary Lives. She is Mum to two amazing grown-up children who happen to be autistic.
